That’s why Fitness by the Sea is the only beach camp to offer flexible week-by-week scheduling. Pick one week, another week—whatever you want, whenever you want it. Run into a snag? No problem. You can change it at no additional cost!

Early Bird Discount- 10% Savings!

Plus, if you sign up by March 1, you’ll get a special Early Bird Discount Rate as low as $455 per week. Your child must attend the number of weeks you choose, but if you find something comes up, you can switch the dates later—and add dates if your child begs to go to more (and we think they will). It’s a no-commitment, foolproof way to make sure you and your child have the best camp ever!

We’re serious about fun—but we’re even more serious about safety. Our three-tiered approach has allowed us to maintain a 100% safety record for the past 25 years. We concentrate on:

Safety in the Water:. Our camp is adjacent to professional lifeguard towers and professional lifeguards are standing at the shoreline at all times supervising the children in the ocean With a six-to-one camper-to-counselor ratio, your child is never out of sight.

Safety from the sun: Sure, the sun is why we live here. But too much sun is a real concern. That’s why we build hydration, shade, and reapplication of sunscreen into our camp days.

Safety from others: All trips to the bathroom as chaperoned by a counselor.

Fitness by the Sea Is a Boredom-Free Zone!

We started Fitness by the Sea 25 years ago because of fantastic memories we had at summer camp. Now with three kids of our own, we understand what kids like: a variety of activities to choose from, the freedom to choose activities as mood and curiosity strikes, and a nurturing environment that allows them to stretch themselves to learn new skills while being encouraged by counselors and fellow campers.

A Camp for Every Child

We have two camp locations to serve Van Nuys families:

• Our Pacific Palisades location is our flagship location and offers the most opportunities for activities on a given day for campers, ages 4.5- 14
• Our Santa Monica location is perfect for kids who want to stretch themselves by trying new activities but also want a smaller camp experience. Campers range in age from 4.5- 14.

Both offer the same awesome array of activities and nurturing, encouraging, and positive camp experience that has kept Fitness by the Sea going strong for 25 years.

Counselors Create Memories

Do you remember a favorite counselor when you went to camp? At Fitness by the Sea, we know we are creating memories and building confidence. That’s why we hand-pick our counselors out of over 1,000 applicants for maturity, ability to deal with kids on individual and group levels, and a sense of fun!
